Here we are on the 1st day of August!! I have always found August to be a bit of a sad month when I was a kid - August is the unofficial ending of summer, which of course is to be followed by back-to-school! Here in Toronto the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) opens in mid August - which really signifies the end of the season.
