Tomorrow is the beginning of an awesome month we affectionately refer to as October. The month of colors. The rainbow month!!
When the leaves are turned and beginning to fall, peppering the ground,, I like to pretend I am walking in a field of potpourri! lol I remember as a child making piles of leaves and jumping in them, much to the horror of my Granny who worked feverishly to rake them from her backyard.
We would go off on many adventures collecting pine cones and chestnuts. Not sure why? I remember having bags and bags of chestnuts - the more the merrier! Only to eventually throw them away - or throw them at my brother. lol
Today during my shopping trip, I picked up my turkey for Thanksgiving next weekend. I have much to be thankful for this year. Including sharing the beautiful 18.75lb turkey with family and friends as we all gather in my home.
Precious few things are better than a Turkey dinner!!! Especially mine!! haha!!
Have I said how quickly this year is going by? It is so hard to believe! Tomorrow will not only be October 1st, but it will be 85 days till Christmas!!!

All kidding aside, I really love this time of the year. Autumn leaves, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Santa Claus Parade, Christmas, New Year! What a fabulous three months!!
I know I am looking forward to them ... how about you??
