It has been a fairly quiet weekend. I have unfortunately been in a flare. However, I have been blessed with the company of my daughter this weekend. Tonight she is to spend her third night here. Yesterday was a year since she moved out. I think she misses mommy. That's okay. Mommy misses you too!
I am STILL awaiting my transfer - and quite honestly, it cannot happen too soon. I am really looking forward to the move. (WHOA!! Who said that??!!) I am also looking forward to beginning the next stage of my life.
Friday, I took in a rescued kitten. I have come to discover with help of my sister that Zoe is a Maine Coon Cat - and also Polydactyl. With at least 6 toes on each paw. This is extremely rare, as the typical cat has only 18 didgets. Poly's in general are a rarity, the majority having only extra didgets in the front paws. Hind paws are rare and all four are almost never heard of. The Guinness World Record is held by a cat named Jake, right here in Ontario, Canada. Jake has 28 toes - 7 per paw!!
Zoe is such a sweet spirit. I don't know how anyone could have thrown her away to fend for herself. She is only 8 months old and was found in a dumpster with her two 7 week-old kittens.
People like that infuriate me to no end! Thankfully she was found and has truly lucked her way into my family. She will be loved - and safe. She is slowly coming out of her shell - feeling out her new forever home. God bless her sweet self!
